Imagine you’re self 100 times hungrier imagine not even having food even though the fast has ended well that’s how people in the third world are going through. There will be test during Ramadhan and each Muslim will be able to determine and reflect on his/her strengths or weaknesses

Ramadhan isn’t only about not eating food or drink but it’s about being good and respectful if you already are not. In Ramadhan you should do a lot of good deeds as one good deed will be multiplied by 10 to 70 times more. Ramadhan is the month were a weak and bad Muslims becomes a good Muslim to receive great reward and forgiveness.

You should reflect on the poor and the Prophet (pbuh), In this month alone you are able to obtain the Most rewards. Allah said that even if a believer has sins that start from the sinners head and end at the doors of heaven he will still forgive that person if he/she repents. Allah is the all Mercyful and all Kind.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "When Ramadhan comes, the doors of Heaven are opened and the doors of hell are closed and the devils are put in chains and the doors of Mercy are opened."

I get hungry around 5, about the time I get off work... (While I'm at work, it's not to bad) I come on Yahoo Answers, Myspace.com, chat on Yahoo IM. I always try to nap, but I can't! Other than that I think of the poor people, who are always hungry, and I feel sad and grateful!

I have this mental battle in my mind.. i tell myself that i only have to wait 2 more hours.. when will a homeless persons next meal be?? what about people who really just don't have enough food to feed their family.. so i make myself feel guilty for thinking that i could not go on for another 2 hours.. if that don't work..i remind myself that ALLAH is watching and knows all....that usually does the trick...

well, I face this problem too, & also in Egypt where Ilive the weather is horrible so I can`t stop thinking abou water!!!!

OK here is 2 things that I do to keep my mind off food, I try to think of the wisdom of fasting, that we are doing this to feel of the poor ones who can`t afford to buy food, I get delighted when I remeber this

also if you have a hot weather like I do were I live, Try sleeping until the Sunset call to prayer, that will do

Thirst is a greater problem in Karachi. In the afternoon, I try to take a nap, read the Quran or make a snack for Iftar.

I can understand you are hungry, but it is recommended not to say such things. We all feel the same, but the sawab is not in mentioning during the fast. you can say it afterwards.

Don't keep looking at the time. Pray, watch tv, work, cook, and your day will pass.

don't think about eating, and be patient, so you'll get more (ajur) from Allah, try to read Qura'an, time will fly and you won't even remember that you're hungry, luky you, you have free time to do so, i soooooo don't have any time, i go to school, have lots of studing to do. may god be by our sides and by all the muslims all over the world, Ameen.
