I will break it down Barney style if you need an example: You speak English, your native tongue. Would you date somebody (foreigner) who doesn't speak English or speaks very little?

Actually, I did date a girl in the past that spoke very little English. The language of love has no boundaries and alot of our communication was body language. We just didn't work out in the end. I personally want a woman who can speak my native tongue for effective communication.

no i wouldn't because a big part of a relationship is communication. If you can find away to communicate then I would say yea. I am not talking sexually either! If you like someone a lot then try to learn their language and they should try to learn English. It can work like I said if you can find a way to communicate.

Yes! Love has its own language. And the enegy it produces will make that one of you will learn the other's language.
Sure that I wouldn't get married if I have no way of communication... but to start dating would be interesting.
Actually I'm married with a woman that speaks slovenian language, my mother tongue is spanish but we communicate in english! What is important is to be sure the intentions of both parts are good ones... and that both wish to solve the problem of languages

If you know the language it wouldnt matter. Then you could still communicate with that person. Are you trying to marry some foreigner so they can get a green cards so that they can come over here to the U.S and live?

wouldnt that mean that the relationship would be purely based on physical attraction? No I dont think you could being able to whisper sweet nothing to each other is so important. writing love letters, you just couldnt convey anything to each other. I say Na.........unless they are really really gorgeous...just kidding. You have to have the whole package.

Personally No. If I wasn't able to speak to him and have him totally understand me or vice versa it would be very hard. it could led to allot of arguments.

no, but not because of language. Cultural differences are VERY HARD to overcome. Expectations of each person is radically different.
