well first at all i do agree with the others hidalgo did sold a part of the mexican land so it can not be claimed as stolen
.
However when santana fought against the Americans in the America Mex war the Americans who used to live in texas because they were allowed to do so , did fought against santana with the help of the tejanos who by the way were Mexicans .

once santana was beaten he was made to sing the treaty which gave texas to the Americans along with the mexican who FOUGHT with THEM . i must add that since there were many Mexicans which fought along with the American a deal with them was made , they would be allowed to speak their native language ( spanish ) and would also be recognized as American ( or texans then ) .

ialso would like to add that not all of texas was sold by santanna but that a lot of it was actually stolen by American who hated what santana did and wanted to make ANY Mexican pay for what SANTANNA DID . So after they had control of that area they started to make the Tejanos who had helped them beat santana pay by making them sell and if they didn't they used to kill the husband " if he doesn't sell the widow will " they used to say .

after all the tentions ended the Americans who had not heard about the contribution of the taxanos were told about them so they decided to make a deal with them " to allow them to speak spanish " in texas , new mexico , california and colorado .

"Stole part of Mexico" Did you forget the Treaty you mentioned earlier? Mexico surrendered and gave the land to us as part of the agreement.

It has sure become a much better place since we took it over as well.

Unfortunately, no matter what you say or how many questions you ask - people would rather hate Mexico & Mexicans.
Keep up the fight man - I do...but I serriously doubt in our life time that the majority of Americans will stop their hatred for the latest group of Immigrants. Then agian, propoganda is fun and interesting.

I feel that cleaning up the corruption below the border of the US is more important issue than what language is spoken. If you don't like the US, then live in Mexico and have fun.

when did the us steal anything from Mexico ? learn your history. the acquisition of land during a war are spoils not theft. they were also paid well for the rest of the land. learn before you speak. the land was mostly populated
by Americans anyway.

Sssssssssshhhhhhhhh.... We don't talk about the theft of a major part of Mexico in the US. We also don't talk about the guilt driven Gadsden purchase that we set up a few years later so we could feel better. We also don't talk about how the French made it possible for us to win the revolutionary war. We prefer to ignore history so that we can unashamedly blame everyone else for our problems.
