Most of the people who would bring someone down who is on their way up are the people that dont want you to either leave where they are or for you to get too far away from them. Sometimes these people are comfortable with the place where they are or they feel they can t go anywhere else.

Envy. People always see the result of your success but they rarely see the hard work and dedication that you put into it. So when they see you moving up, they assume that you did something sneaky or ingenuous to get there.

Envy and jealousy. Brush it off and be nice to these people because the are lacking self worth.

It makes them feel more important than they are their failures are great and want to see you fail. They hate your success they are losers and haters and will always be that way avoid them and let them dwell with other haters so they may destory each other rather than yourself.
