do squats get the thigh area thicker and bigger? what kind of excercises get the thighs and legs thicker, and the butt thicker too?

For growing the glutemous maximus I would recommend back extensions on the Roman Chair. Perform the motion by clenching your cheeks together tightly. Hold a weight across your chest to intensify the exercise.

Squats and lunges are the perfect exercises for those areas and really tone so you see alot of definition in those muscles if you do them right and don't cheat.
