Guys show emotion in different ways. If you are having a big ceremony with the fixins (dress, flowers etc) then he might have a mysterious change of heart when he sees you. No encouragement necessary.

If it is just a JoP thing, then you can explain to him what it means to you. This may change his mind and it may not.

Why do you need him to be excited?

If you are worried about the vows, don't write personal vows.

As he said before, you two are already commited. Nothing you can say will be able to make him any more excited. Just wait until the day off--he will be nervous AND excited!

we would desire to lower back off via fact this guy has yet another female buddy and he do not prefer too tell his different female buddy which you're his female buddy he needs too tell her your purely a buddy that's what i think of. So inform you your not waiting yet in spite of each thing. you have desperate to stay interior the states for a at the same time as till you will get issues so as. and then we can bypass from their/there. Yeah it sounds like his sister do not prefer this or some thing like that. or perhaps he heavily isn't into you as much as you theory he grow to be. or perhaps he loves you plenty yet he do not prefer to speak approximately it. If i had a female buddy i'd provide her a huge ok*ss a huge Hug. my concepts. not worth plenty yet those are my concepts I easily have for u.

I kindof know how you feel. My husband would have his "days" sometimes he would get really excited others he wouldn't. Just let him know that it means a lot to you because of the vows. Tell him you know that you life together but legally you are not married and that you want to really commit and here it in front of God and everybody. Guys have a hard time showing there feelings.

Ugh, that is DEFINITELY a guy way to react. My fiance doesn't understand why I'm worrying about money or why I'm excited since our wedding is two years away!

Just tell him that you are excited to share your love with everyone around you. Also, you are excited about having one beautiful day in which that is celebrated. It is a day out of the ordinary, and you should be able to be excited about it!

Did you know?

For those of you who think that getting married is not necessary, remember this... you must be married to someone for at least 7 years before you are eligible to collect on their social security? That's right, you can live with someone 'til the cows come home, but god forbid something ever happens to them and you are used to having there to help support the family, especially when there are kids involved.
Did you know...
You can not give medical authorization for someone unless you are their next living relative? Schavo ring any bells?
Did you know...
You are 10x more likely to approved for a loan, mortgage etc., if you are married?
Did you know...
The average houshold saves thousands on health insurance if they are married?

I'm getting tired of citing the pro's... he's a guy... what do you expect?

Conrgrats on the wedding and good luck!

People get married because they want their loved ones protected. People living together have no legal rights. If one person dies, they're estate does not go to their partner, it goes to their family. Also, the body doesn't go to their partner and the partner has no say what goes on with the funeral. I have been happily married for 12 years and I have a nasty mother in law who wouldn't think twice about cutting me out of all proceedings if I wasn't legally married.

Some men feel weddings are basically "bride's day", where she gets to dress up like a princess and have everyone pay attention to her and things... I guess it's nice that he is already so committed to you that he feels like nothing will change. I guess, just feel comfortable being silly and girly around him, and let him know you understand why he isn't as excited, and just have fun!

Don't worry guys can be like that. It is very hard for most guys to express their feelings but it will turn out to be great. He will probably be so excited on that day. You two will never forget it. Congrats!
