Ok, this is what broke me of the habit. I was absentmindedly picking away while driving on the freeway going home when a car pulled up even with mine one lane over. I looked over and there were three guys - the driver, a passenger in the front and one in the back all cracking up with one finger up their noses imitating me. I was so embarrassed I could've died, but at the same time it was funny as H-e-l-l. Since then I do my picking in the privacy of my bathroom with the door locked.

This is something that should be done in private, in a bathroom, where you can wash your hands afterwords. Otherwise, it's just plain gross! At least, that's the rule in America. I read somewhere that it's perfectly acceptable to pick your nose in public in the Arab countries, but taboo to pick your teeth... I think there is a time and place for both, and really, please, don't forget to wash your hands...

hell no!! i am definitely a nose picker! and i'm not afraid to say it! *L* sometimes at work, i blow my nose, and it's just not good enough, so, i go to the washroom, and i pick it, i wash my hands, and go about my business. p.s. i don't even really care if anyone's looking. although, when i catch someone picking say, at a red light or something, i still like to have a good giggle.

Of course I pick my nose, but not in public and always in the privacy of my own home, its a natural human function.

OK funny story...!! One nite when I was a little tomboy of about 5 and away on the old family holiday in a mobile home with paper walls, I could clearly hear the lads talking about going fishing in the morning. It sounded like so much fun so I begged them to take me with them. my older brother told me they wer getting up too early and id never wake up in time. But I begged him to take me with them, he told me he'd bring me if i could wake up by myself.... but i didnt have an alarm clock.. So he told me if i ate 7 snots id wake up at 7 o clock.... It didnt work!!!
