Im in my freshman year of highschool, and on my second day, i noticed this kid in band. He's really cute and he's new. He seems to be friendly because he talks to the other kids, older and younger, in his instrument section. But every time I try to talk to him, he ends up walking away because he doesnt know I exist. I'm naturally shy around guys, and I dont want to randomly walk up to him and be like, "Hey, what's up?" Im scared. Also, none of my friends know him, so I cant be introduced, and he's only in 1 club with me, and he sits with his friends. What should I do?

Sweetheart, maybe he has feelings for u. It seems to me if he talks to everyone else and walks off when u come around. He is probably as shy as u..Maybe send him a note or when he is by himself approach him..Good Luck..!

Well, he's new-thats a perfect starting point. Go up to him and introduce yourself. Tell him you noticed he was new. Ask him how he likes the school or the new area. If you hold your head high and SMILE, you'll exude confidence-and be irresistible. Just keep on saying hi in the hallway and it's nearly guaranteed that he'll be at least a friend-and that's when you can get to more. Good luck! :)

"The nail that sticks out gets hammered." You won't get any attention until you SHOW some attention. Build up some confidence and just ask him how he likes the class or the club. Or you can pretend to have an argument with a friend when he's around; then walk up to him and go, "Excuse me, what do you think about this issue?" There's your opener. Good luck.

Now if he doesn't know you exist make yourself exist. Just when he's alone or even if he's with somebody this is your second day you still have time to meet him. Just go up to him say Hi and ask him about where he comes from. I understand your shy around boys just pretend he's a friend, after all you don't know him well. Get to know him! GOOD LUCK!!!!

I know what you mean! I'm a sophomore in high school and I still have trouble being myself around guys. If he is really friendly, then try getting one of your friends to help you talk to him. Find what his interests are, joke with him, and relax. Friendly guys can usually understand a girl's point of view, even though all guys are generally simple. I wish you luck and you'll be in my prayers!

ten smarter ways to tell a boy you like him:
1.sit behind him at the bus and start a conversation
2.offer him that extra ticket you have for the concert
3.put your towel next to his at the pool
4.ask him to dance at the school dance
5.go to one of his games,or invite him to one of yours
6.call him to see if you want to see the school play together
7.ask hime to join you at basketball
8.tell him how much you liked his report and ask if he wants to work together on the next project
9.make plans for you and your friends to go to dairy queen after school and invite him
10.spot him at the movies?ask if he wants to see the next opening movie together

just start with little things. when he passes you in the hall, just say "hey (insert name here)!" saying his name makes it more personal. also, you can just smile at him if he looks at you. these things show that you are open and nice, and if he's interested, he'll talk to you.
