Yea sis!!! She will appreciate anything you choose. I think you should just go to a local florist & ask their advice. After all, it is their business to know!
Personal note, be careful with those 800 numbers. My b-i-l was burned by them once. He ordered my sister Valentines flowers that she got the next day!!!

Go through Hallmark Flowers and get her the "Peanut's 40th Anniversary Bouquet of It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!" It comes with really cool fall flowers and a great vase.
(I say this mostly cause I want someone to send it to me... but it is oh so cute and it's a collector's item to boot!)

I take it that you do not know her favorite type, so in lieu of that I would suggest a nice bouquet of mixed flowers. You can check with a florist and they can give you some suggestions.
It really is the thought that counts and her knowing that you are proud of her will outweigh the flower type by a lot!

Personally I love lillies I think they are the most beautiful flower. You could try lillies with roses or you could do something full of wildflowers.

Have the florist make you a fall mix bouquet. But my honest answer would be that roses are beautiful and my first choice and now they come in such beautiful colors.... not the basic red, yellow and white. Your very kind, wish you were my brother!

How 'bout a nice assortment? Check out www.1800flowers.com and look at some of their suggestions. Even if you don't buy from there, you can get great ideas. : )
Kudos to you, BTW, for being so supportive of your sister!

Carnations are always great, they last longer than your average flower too, longer than roses.
Congrats to your sis!
