i would think the feeling of being inadequate is an overwhelming fear in all aspects (moneywise, fatherhood, husband/boyfriend). and lets not forget about the no sex for 6 weeks rule!

Why should men fear having children any more than women? Or do you just know a lot of inadequate men?

I don't know about men in general, but my man fears the possibility of a dirty nappy!, so guess who has to do ALL the smelly nappies in our house!?
Also, I think that some may get insecure about the closeness between mom and baby- and perhaps even a little jealous of baby for all the attention that is directed that way- attention that he used to get. I think that a lot of men fear losing their wife/girlfriend as they know them.

The other things that have been mentioned, I think, are real fears that men do have. But for me, the BIGGEST fear is that I will have a kid who turns out wrong. I am responsible for how he is.

Fear of being an inadequate father, not being able to provide well for the child or raise him/her properly. Especially when it's their first child.

Changing diapers. Giving baby a bath by himself. Feeding baby food all by himself. Watching the baby by himself. Pretty much anything by himself.
