Prostitution is ILLEGAL in the UK. So I guess the minimum age rather depends on the morals of the individual prostitute.

The legal age of consent is 16 in the UK. So if you use a prostitutes service when you are under 16, she is committing statutory rape.
Participation in sexual activities for money (or goods) is and always has been legal in the UK.
In 2003, the law was changed to make it illegal to pay for sex with someone who was 17 or 18
So, as long as you are 16 or over, you can pay for a prostitutes services.
What is illegal, is not the prostitution, but
soliciting for the purpose of prostitution
to solicit someone for the purpose of prostitution
controlling a prostitute for gain
to own or run a brothel.

Prostitution is NOT illegal in the UK, but I wouldn't know the age, I would guess it would be 18. Did you know that as the law goes, if you were to sell a kiss to someone for charity at a fair (unlikely I know) but anyway, the law would brand you officially a prostitute for your entire life and you could be addressed in court as such. British justice? What a sick joke!

why would you want to anyway? ok if you are serious, i'd have thought 16, its the legal age for sex, but i don't know if it is legal, can't you get arrested if you are caught by the police with a known prostitute?
go out and find yourself a girlfriend or someone who will sleep with you for you, not just for money...how degrading

Since prostitution is illegal in the UK...I guess the question is not valid. 16 however is the legal age of consent.
