That's a good point !!!
My sisters went to Christian private school.
They didn't teach them Science !
They didn't teach Algebra !
They sure as heck, didn't have any computers !
They had good language class though.
Ripe for the picking is right, my sisters both need tutors (at least for math).
My mom goes to a crazy cult like church and my sisters can see how wacky it is. (And they refuse to "pray-read" with her)
Although I do tell them I don't believe in god,
(and why I don't, but only when they ask)
I don't try to convert them, ( I don't bring up my Atheism, when they bring up/mention god or the bible)
and I'm happy in my thinking,
that they aren't likely to join a cult.
I hope someday they will see the foolishness of the bible.
I think I ought to have them read revelations : )

Tell me what created the Big Bang, I heard it was particles or something???? Well where did they come from? Everything you've learnt about the creation of the universe is BULL, we were created by God, you seem too wrapped up in 'Adult Life' to spot the obvious, only a fool would say we are here by chance, and sadly lots of people believe that theory now. That is because Satan is decieving the whole world, and youre such a fool, you're HELPING him. I recommend reading the new testament, beware of corrupted scriptures though and use what little intelligence you have to distinguish right from wrong.

Religion doesn't favor anything. Certain people who have adopted certain religions may favor such things, but not all do.
I am well educated. I certainly could become even better educated. I came from a public school system where I got a half-okay education. I sought higher education and earned two university degrees. In other words, it didn't matter that the school system I went to early on was half-okay; what mattered is that I had the desire to learn, and so I continued my studies. Whatever intentions a school manager might have does not prevent me from taking responsibility for my own education.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior four years ago. I am 38 years old. I have an extensive base of knowledge across multiple disciplines. Knowledge neither prevented me from seeking nor encouraged me to seek God. Knowledge about the world is knowledge about the world. The desire to seek God comes from the soul, which can only be "educated" about God by God himself, coupled with the seeker's willingness and desire to know him.
There are innumerable educated people who have faith in God. Your assertion that only the uneducated seek God is patently inaccurate. Perhaps if you did some research in the area of people who seek and find God, you would be better equipped to make reasonable, backed-with-evidence statements that reveal a mind that seeks knowledge of what it wants to declare before it declares it.
Do you consider Euclidian geometry to be inaccurate because it it comes from an "old storybook"? Euclid died well before Christ was born. Do you believe, for example, the works of Plato to be dismissable due to their age? Consider what you are saying when you denounce something on account of how long it has been around. You are inadvertently revealing your own lack of thoughtfulness about such matters.

Politicians best weapon for waging wars and getting people to dying fro a selfish cause, gaining support, and bringing people under their control..as soon as people realize that we can stop this dumb religous S***!

Sorry but what are you on about? Which country are you from? I'm in the UK and I went to uni, my church has doctors, nurses, consultants, teachers, accountants, many intellingent people in fact. Don't be spreading your lies that faith is for stupid people, I'm afraid that shows a lack of research and understanding on your own part, do your homework!
And for your information, I wasn't brainwashed, I simpy had an awesome experience of Jesus and could no longer deny that He is alive and looking out for me, I wasn't raised in any faith.

particular, for sure, unquestionably. I spent a protracted time finding religiously. for sure, the final place i might look grow to be to JWs. yet i ultimately ran out of alternative thoughts, considering i in my opinion did prefer to have confidence interior the God of the Bible. as quickly as I found out what Jehovah's Witnesses extremely believed, i grow to be happy...yet persevered to be suspicious. after all, a life-time of conditioning with the help of people who locate something incorrect with JWs isn't basic to shake. So I studied for 3 years. i'm a voracious reader and researcher. it is many years earlier the internet grow to be widely obtainable, yet I lived close to the huge Indianapolis library. aside from secular factors, in addition they had books with the help of anti-JWs. as quickly as I regarded, i did not locate any accusations I had not already heard earlier from the WT Society. Miracle wheat, pyramids, Russell's divorce, changes in doctrine.. loss of thought interior the trinity, immortality of the soul, all of the everyday arguments...the cult books did not provoke me with their arguments. It comes right down to who're you going to have confidence? as a strategies because of the fact the doctrines bypass, i don't have confidence that the trinity, hellfire, immortality of the soul, etc, are taught interior the Bible, and getting to understand the pagan origins of the holiday journeys is what made me go away the greater orthodox christian church homes interior the 1st place. The accusations approximately Brother Russell or Rutherford, nicely, those issues got here approximately a protracted time in the past, those on the two sides of the argument at the instant are not to any extent further here, there is not any thank you to be attentive to if it grow to be genuine or not. the common doctrinal ideals are sparkling, if there are minor changes, in the event that they're actual looking it fairly is superb with me. i don't comprehend people who do not totally check out earlier, then they act all shocked and ***** later... Now, who's up for a stunning, thick torture steak????

Jon, I think religion makes a lot of good contributions to education i.e. catholic schools etc.
My concern is that in one hand, they promote science as fact (which is good) and in the other, they claim that god exists (which is not scientifically proven). It's like Macdonalds selling salads, just to prove they are healthy, despite the gut-busting burgers.
Religion is a social luddite that stifles science and promotes ignorance and intolerance. I think that the only place for religion in schools, is as an educational subject, where all other religions are given equal status.

First in your opening sentence it should be favors not favours, country's not countries and it should be realize not realise and you forgot the apostrophe in doesn't. By the way "religion" doesn't favor illiteracy it abhors it, I have yet to be in a church where they are preaching anything of the sort. And people don't get "brainwashed" they just fall prey to stupid people who exploit religion as a means to better their own lives.

Sounds like you're looking at a very narrow segment of schools and religions.
Usually children educated in a private school are way ahead of the game.
We all went to a private/church school.....we all went to college...we all have are own homes.....3 have their own businesses.
Saying all that to say....it starts with the parents....schools don't raise children and they're not supposed to.

Several members of my family are teachers. My brother teaches 8th grade science for example. When he teaches evolution in his classes some students are taken out by their parents for religious beliefs.
Basically,They are limiting the amount of knowledge there children can obtain. Its really sad. Believe what you want, but preventing your children from learning is a crime.
