How do thank my co-workers?

My mom recently died of breast cancer and my co-workers signed a sympathy card and the company donated money in my moms memory to a national breast cancer organization. I want to send an email thanking them, but I am not sure what to say.

Mail a "thank you " card instead. I am sure they have a central location where they can display it for everyone to see.

I work with Cancer Research and I send you my sympathies on your recent loss. Breast Cancer is a horrible disease and takes the lives of so many every day.
I think the best way to thank your co-workers is to individually thank each an every one of them with a card and a picture of your Mom in it. That will make the donation they made more meaningful.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I'm a cancer survivor and lost a good friend to cancer while I was doing chemo. Her absence still hurts.

If you send a preprinted thank you card, it's a little more personal and you can probably find some that have very nice verse that express your feelings.

OUr family recently had the one year anniversiry of my cousin who was 14, dieing of cancer His battle was five years ling and i sympathize with you.

I would send a script personilized card, e-mails are often overlooked

If you have a community bulletin board, buy a thank you card for all of them. I think an email is too impersonal for a situation like this.

You should write each of them a thank you or thank them in person. It's not appropropriate to do a thank you by email.
