The Judge may Be Lenient if he stays in treatment and Grand Mother Lays Down the Law About Him being Where he is supposed to be.
It' like Either you lock him up or they will. Good Luck, & I'll pray for you both.

Committing new crimes while out on bail is very bad. Chances are the judge will not set bail on the new case or it will be very high bail especially given the fact that he resisted arrest. The judge can sentence him to the inpatient treatment program but he would need to show that he has an alcohol problem and that is what led to him doing these crimes.

I doubt is, since he got a chance for being party to stealing a car. Had he not resisted arrest they may have been easy on him, but since a police officer had to use force, the officer will be speaking stongly about him going to jail and staying there.

So most likely his bail will be revolked on the first charge and he will be held pending trial or they will increase the bail to a much larger amount of money

Nope. Out on bail, commits another crime, resists the officer, plus he's a drunk. Let's hope they lock his @ss up for a while. Maybe if he gets a taste of the inside looking out, he may straighten his self out.

I hope the judge tosses the SOB into jail and throw away the key! This kind of crap is not called for in society. If he can't follow the rules, he can suffer the consequences.

If he is still awaiting sentencing on one charge and gets arrested for a new charge, he isn't helping his chances of leniency! Alot will depend on the particulars of the situation and the police reports.

I think a few weeks in Jail just might smarten him up. I hope you didn't bail him out again?

Sounds like a couple of years in the military would do him some good.
