My female german shephard is 1 year old, and has went into heat for the 2nd time, however the first time we didn't let her breed, this time we decided too. How long will it be before the puppies come?

You have recieved the correct answers from all of the above..However, in about 3 weeks, you will be wondering how you can tell if she is indeed pregnant..so, right now, measure her girth at the last rib..right around her tummy,,at last rib, and write it down on your calendar on the date 21 days from today..
.In 21 days, measure it again..If there is some gain in measurement, she is likely pregnant..then you begin feeding for the best health of mom and babies...

A dog should NEVER be bred that young..they aren't physically nor mentally mature enough to be bred. Also proper health tsting can't be done under the age of 2.

A GSD has the same gestation period as any other breed of dog 57 - 67 days with 63 being the average.

I hope all goes well with this poor girl who is nothing but still a puppy herself.

If you are a responsible breeder you would know this. Also you wouldn't have bred her yet. You should have waited until she's at least 2 to let her finish growing. Approx 60 days, give or take a few unless her body can't handle it b/c she's still a puppy herself.

You have no business breeding your dog if you don't know even the most basic things about it. Better educate yourself right now as to how to help her when she's whelping, how to look after her while she's pregnant, and how to look after the puppies.

She'll be pregnant about 63 days, give or take a couple.

I wouldn't breed a 1 year old. Have you at least have her hips and elbows pre-limmed and sent off to the OFA? 63 days from the day she as bred more or less.

dogs are pregnant for 9 weeks. All breeds of dogs. I am a boxer breeder so deal with medium to large breed dogs.
Happy breeding.
