new shoes may be helpful, but your foot pain may be some other problem. you don't describe exactly what type of pain you experience. i do have a great website for you that has informative articles on different foot conditions and a discussion forum with a doc also, myfootshop.com. give it a try i think it may be helpful for you. a good shoe to try out would be Naot or Dansko depending on your taste/style that you like. i work for a podiatrist who use to sell those brands and we all loved them. use the source for direct links. good luck!

Burkenstock sandals are the best, because they conform to your feet. my mom bought some after she started a job where she stood up all day and she never had a problem after that unless she was wearing other shoes.

I work in a doctor's office and I wear Crocs. They are the most comfortable things I've ever had on my feet. Alot of the teachers in our area also wear them. They come in different styles and colors. Go to:www.crocs.com
