Sodas are already banned at my school, and I say that junk food should also be banned, but if they are going to ban it, then the school should also try a little harder in serving healthier food. Everyday we have a choice of pizza, hamburger, hot dog, sandwiches, and a salad that does not seem healthy (it has ham, cheese, and a lot of dressing). For breakfast we can choose from bagel with cream cheese, PBJ sandwich, pizza bagel, french toast, and pancakes or waffles. Which of those foods is actually healthy, probably none of them. People shouldnt just blame junk food for child obesity when the school food is also contributing to it. But yes junk food should be banned from schools.

YES!! People are getting heavier and heavier younger and younger. I think healthy choices should be taught each year and the cafeteria should serve only healthy foods. Pizza and hamburgers can be healthy. We need to put a stop to the obesity problems in our country now. By teaching this in schools parents will have a backup for enforcing food rules at home. Young people need to learn to eat healthy so they can teach their own children. Junk goods should be a rare treat not an every day occurrence.

To some extent. At my sons school they offer salad instead of a tray lunch. They've added lots of fruits to the tray lunch too. The most junk they'll have is maybe an oatmeal cookie. I think it's ok to a point.

Schools in the United States. Yes.
Schools in Europe. No.
I have been to both and in the united states obesity is at 60% of the population.
In Europe everybody is going to die of lung cancer anyways, and everybody is skinny fat.
