I didnt think it was allowed anymore but, yes back in my school day's the principal was allowed to issue corporal punishment...my principal had a 1"x4" paddle with holes in it..man!!!! 5 swat's is what we got....

Yes...Attended a Private School my entire life and it was required for all parents to sign permission slips before the child is allow to attend that the teachers could swat kids as see fit.
They used fiberglass paddles with holes in them.
And you wonder why some people in life are pissy

Here are a couple of examples of why schools quit paddling in school. My sister was paddled for poor handwriting in on her papers when she was in the third grade. I was paddled along with 3 of my friends for throwing paper wads at each other while sitting in the gym for over an hour, bored to death, in the sixth grade.

Not that I ever did anything requiring a paddling, but even if I did, they quit paddling kids at my school in the 60's.

I've seen the paddle in school but I've never had the displeasure of meeting it! That was eons ago, do they still paddle students these days?

That happen to me in pre-k I remembered I told my mom and she cursed the teacher out..never had to worry about the teacher putting her hands on me again

Yeah, but they did things like that back then. Never bothered me a bit. Excuse me now. I have to go clean my rifles again. The voices .......

The catholic school near me did. and My husbands public school did.
We had to sit in a cubical when I was in grade school if we did bad things.

Private..catholic or whatever school.If my kid would be beaten at school I would have their a$$es arrested in a heartbeat
