I think its our conscience or Mom or maybe the resonanting voice of our childhood. Maybe voices we have heard and taken on as part of our personality. We all have our own quirks and voices, I don't find it delusional or that EVERYONE has multiple personality disorder unless the voices tell or do something that is harmful. I too have my own "voices" that keep me sane during stressful times and reminds me of what my heart wants instead of my head and vice versa.
Good question!

With some people it may be aspects of their personality. With me it was a demon and, through that, telepathy. Sometimes when I tried to sleep my head would be filled with voices (you become more sensitive as you relax). I could (perhaps should) have been diagnosed as psychotic and schizophrenic, but I was exorcised and have been fine ever since.
Everyone has thoughts planted in their heads by demons, angels as well. If you have ever had a thought come from no-where. A nudge to phone someone or avoid a situation you could not possibly know about. When a drama is played out in your mind so real you can feel every emotion. When you get a sudden inexplicable urge to do something outside your nature. When an idea or realisation comes to you fully formed, without any conscious thought behind it. These may have come from angels or demons

What you are probably hearing is your subconscious; we all have it but most of us do not hear it or only part of it; we are strange creatures and have this tendency to name things so if you hear a voice commenting on how you look and saying its good then you will put a positve name, perhaps your Gran who says nice things about , or if its negative then you will pick a nasty character, it's how we make sense of things. The only time to really worry is if the 'voices' start to give you orders, particularly if they tell you to do things you don't want to do. If that happens then please talk to a doctor as this is being caused by a relatively simple chemical imbalance in your brain that may be temporary, could be drug-induced if you smoke dope for example, but is easily corrected by the medics. Don't go on being distressed if this gets bad, you can be helped, honest.

Going by the assumption that you are normal that "voice" in your head is yours.
If you hear different "voices" it is because you are struggling with an issue and are recalling what different trusted friends/family may give you for advise.
On the other hand if you feel that those voices ARE different people, you need to seek psychiatric help, this could be a sign of psychological issues.

Although people often construct meaning from voices (the CIA are after me, God is talking to me,etc), it has never been shown that they are anything other than random meaningless misperceptions, as you might get during a fever, for example. Healthy persons can hear voices, but if they are intrusive, distressing or unpleasant see a psychiatrist. They have treatments, usually drugs, that are proven to help, at least to some extent in some cases.

Its your conscious, so people say. Someone told me that providing you only hear the one voice that is similar to yours then your fine. When you start hearing lots of different voices, its a sign of schizophrenia, especially if the voices are telling you to do bad things. Your voice in your head normally goes through things that your doing or have done. Or you hear it when your just thinking about things. It basically just analysing your life and everything you have done.

It can be a sign of schizophrenia if you feel as if you are being controlled by these voices in your head. It can be your ego, your alter ego, your subconscious mind or your conscience. It could also be people you have met in the past but now forgotten. I don't really know. Better let a psychiatrist answer this question.

When it's one voice, it's my conscience. When it's several, I know that I've probably skipped a few days prescriptions. However, I think that many authors might have the same thing & they use their voices to create books and movies.....oh, wait. Those would be Muses.
It's all so confusing sometimes. *sigh*

every one has an inner voice that tells us what to do, this can become negative and give us very negative thoughts , what you then have to concentrate on is positive thinking and retraining this little voice or just blocking it out with positive thoughts . the more you do this the less of a problem it is. try positive reading books they help loads...you can give this voice a name and if it tells you bad things then you just stop it in its tracks or repeat the opposite after it to get back on track.

Well there are very diffrent ways to answer this. 4 example when you wake up in the morning you know the first thing you do is have a wash. Everything you do your brain is transfering messages from the brain to your body to do the actions. The answer to your question is coinsence. We all have it and it is something that will stay with every human in the world
