I believe it is Sutter Home wine, but it has been awhile since I've had anything but homemade, village wine. In the same price range as Sutter Home, you can find Marietta Cellars which has a variety red wines that range from a dark blush (Zinfadel) to full-bodied red wines. They aren't bad. I know plenty of good and relatively cheap red wines, but since you said you don't like dark wine, I'll give you some of the whites. Fairview wines makes a good chardonay (I believe) from South Africa. You can pick up a bottle of this for as low as $8. Hawkes Bay also produces a good Chardonnay from New Zealand that has lots of good flavors and is not too heavy. I have found some Jean-Marc at regular liquor stores and they have a few white wines that are not bad to try if you want to go with a Frenchy wine. And of course, if you are just looking to get drunk on something that is sweet and not repulsive, you can find the ever popular Boone's Farm for as low as $2.50 a bottle. Boone's is not really a wine so much as a fruity malt beverage, but there are a variety of flavors that are nice to try and are fun to drink. Have fun!

If you have a good taste for wine then you will have a GREAT ability to enjoy the taste of good DARK DARK Beers.

I make my own dark beer and it is so dark that you can not see through a clear glass filled with it when you hold the glass up to the sun.

Just to mix it up every now and then try some different dark beers. Becasue the dark ones are made the small private brewery people that have the same goals as good wine makers.

The Best ones are Dark Porters or Dark Ales.

There are Honey Beers, Wheat Beers, Custom Hop beers that the hop are actually seditives and make you very relaxed and happy.

Have a GREAT Day !!

If you like white wine, pinot grigio is versatile and...my favorite. Goes well with any food(except red meat, in my opinion), and taste good as a "sipping wine". Personal best is Turning Leaf. Affordable yet tasty.

Trevor Jones 2004 Virgin Chardonnay. Got a 92 rating and is mild and delicious. You should be able to pick it up at any liquor store for less than $18.
