Its an interesting question.

I think it would depend on when he was caught in the "act" If he was caught before he stopped on his own then yes it would be. After when he stopped then the answer would be no.

Abraham did not end up killing Isaac,,but the Lord was showing Abraham what he himself was about to do to his son Jesus..The pain he felt but he knew if he didn't we would all be lost..I thank you Lord that you did what you did with Jesus, so I could live,,he doesn't speak of living in your flesh..He means when you die, thats when you are really living..It is eternal life with Jesus or eternal in hell,where there will be gnashing of teeth, and the worm never dies..I myself don't want to even look at it much less live forever and ever..

In todya's world no one's faith is as strong as Abraham's was so yea we'd call it attempted murder.
