you'll find that they will hurt each time they are tightened untill they are quite straight, it is becaus ethe wires are putting constant pressure on your teeth. In about a week the pain will start to go and your teeth will become looser and start to move. Until then, you should just take ordinary painkillers like paracetomol or ibuprofen. Just remember it's no pain, no gain.
It will be worth it in the end and it won't hurt forever.

Take tylenol. I had braces so I remember the pain, it HURTS! There is nothing more you can do though. Just try not to eat anything where you have to chew a lot though, that will hurt a lot. Just try to stick it out for a week and it will only get better. Good luck!!

Take Tylenol or Aleve. Also, you should have been given an thick plastic arch to put between your upper and lower teeth. Biting down on this puts reverse pressure, which should give you some relief. The pain will subside in a day or two.

Call your dentist and ask for a prescription. He probably has something you can apply to help ease the pain.
