1 Samuel14:24-27 And the men of Israel were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.
25 And all they of the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground.
26 And when the people were come into the wood, behold, the honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the oath.
27 But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened.

No he was not cursed.
Saul had no more power to curse than I do.

Simply put Johnathans' eyes were opened by the LORD. Finish reading the rest of the chapter. YOU HAVE to go back and PICK UP THE SUBJECT. When Johnathans' eyes were opened it mean his countenance was brightened. The Philistines were deafeated that day, and even Saul built an altar to God, the first that he had ever built. Saul is the one who called for the ones who ate to be cursed, NOT GOD. Johnathan was well favored by God. Saul did not let the troops rest or eat and they were weak from this, and if you read in Samuel, a little farther, if the troops had been allowed rest and food, the spoils would have been MUCH GREATER.

Ignorance of the law is NOT an excuse, but considering Johnathan was the son of Saul the heir to the throne he most likely would have received a severe rebuke from Saul, but nothing more. Biblical scholars may say He was cursed considering the way He died, but there is no record that I know of that Saul was aware of the transgression, maybe I missed it. Apparently the reason Saul and Johnathan had to die was because Samuel had anointed David as the heir to the throne and he would NOT have been accepted if Johnathan were alive. "Gods" plan?

He might have been cursed because of that, he didn't live much longer. Similarly I think Rachel was cursed when Jacob, who didn't realize she'd stolen from her father, cursed her:

Gen 31:32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

Rachel died seemingly prematurely after giving birth to her 2nd son Benjamin.
