I have been talking to this girl at my HS for about 7 weeks and i REALLy like her. but i get the feeling she doesnt like me in a "significant" way. I get the feeling that if i ask her out shell shoot me down but if i wait much longer then ill be left behind.
the probem is not even that. the problem is she has been talking to other guys and i dont know how i should react. obviously im jealous. but should i be defensive or anything?
im really lost guys help me out

Better to give it a shot and get shot down than spend years wondering what if..... Besides, maybe she'll say yes.
For me at least there was more getting shot down in the early years than success. For some of us it's a part of life, but it helps you figure out how to get better.
But hopefully you'll be out with her soon.

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

Ask her out on a date... Thats a good way to find out.
Body lang will tell you a lot.
And if she is shy around you... Then most diff.
You guys are in high school of course she is going to be talking to other guys! SHe is single and has guy frineds.. Or maybe you are not moving in fast enough for her so she is looking for a plan B

All you have to do is ask her out. You said that if you wait much longer, you'll be left behind. You'll never know if she was interested or not if you don't ask her out. If she says no, then move on. She's not the only female on Earth. Someone else will come along that will catch your eye. GO FOR IT!

Being defensive never helped anything. You've been talking for 7 weeks -- it's time to fish or cut bait. Ask her to go out with you. If she rejects you, at least you know for sure that she's not interested in you, and you can start looking for someone else.

I understand the jealousy you are feeling and it's natural to have it when you like someone.
Have you asked her out yet? I understand it's really a tough think to do since you like her and she might say no, but it would certainly answer your questions.

ask her....or tell her how you feel about her....then ask her if she feels the same way....if she says maybe then there is something there but she os to shy to tell you...
