the USA should welcome them with open arms and give them full benefits under the US Constitution when it's been proven they have some of the most strict laws regarding immigrating into Mexico?

What sense does this make?

Beth.. I am fully aware of illegals from other countries are here... I don't see their governments demanding we change our policies to accomodate them. I am in favor of getting rid of ALL ILLEGALS, but 99.9% are Mexicans. So don't come on here dictation what I should and should not include in MY questions.

Well if they didn't have strict immigration laws......Then what would we do? Would your suggestion be to seal the entire Mexican country so that the Guatemalans, Hondurans, El Salvadorians among the many other 3rd world countries situated below them would flood into our country too. So in essence they are protecting their neighbors the USA from an even larger influx of illegal immigrants. Do you think these immigrants main goal is to immigrate to Mexico for all of the wonderful jobs. Think about it their destination is the good old USA..........My grandmother stated think before you speak......It is a good idea huh.

Its not just Mexico and Mexicans that believe that they should be welcomed by USA, i believe the should be welcomed too. Politicians and racists keep painting this issue as an in invasion by "evil brown people" . I have lived around hispanic people all my life, some legal, some illegal, some "good" some "bad". I think that this country can only benefit by adding more people with a dream and a desire. So what if they come here with nothing but the clothes on thier back and a dream for a better life? Its funny how Americans tend forget about thier own poor and immigrant roots. Irish, Italians, Polish, Slavic, Armenian, and all Eastern European decendants should be sympathetic to the desires and hopes of Hispanics who come here looking for a better life. The anti-hispanic immigration debate is built upon lies, denial of history, and prejudice.

Since when do things make sense? And who the heck immigrates to Mexico when they are not running from the FBI?

And to the idiot who said "Ask the republicans", The name "Fairly smart" must be a joke of a name. You need to learn more about politics because it's actually the Democrats who increase dollars spent on countries other than the USA. The most infamous example (especially since this topic concerns Mexico)... NAFTA. The President in office to sign Nafta into existance... Clinton. Clinton's party... Democrat.

In this area, Democrats roll out the red carpet for them. The Republicans either roll up the carpet after the designated amount of people get in, or close the doors all together.

Learn Politics before trying to talk politics.

Easy answer.....the expectations were set in the 1800s with the influx of immigrants from such countries as Italy and Ireland seeking freedom in the same way that this SECOND wave of immigrants is now attempting to pursue the American dream.
----
Should we close our borders to future immigration and shun Mexicans from entering illegally? Yes, once we convince fellow Americans that the cotton, strawberries and oranges need to be picked !!
----It's a case of supply and demand. Ask any farmer in California, Florida and owners of processing plants in the midwest how many Americans are willing to stand, bend and work for half an hour and they'll tell you that their industry is dependent on Mexican immigrants.

If immigration into Mexico are some of the "most strict" how come we as Americans can go into Mexico without even a visa? The border at Guatemala is not all that the people want you to think either, I have been down there, and there were not even people at the checkpoint at the time! A Mexican citizen living close to there says that people walk accross all the time.

You look to have each and every thing abit backwards. initially, Mexico in elementary words owned the Southwestern states for 25 years, earlier that they were owned through Spain and earlier that they were owned through interior reach human beings, and that does no longer recommend those of Mayan or Aztec descent. Secondly, Why might want to we go back somehting we've owned for over one hundred sixty years? both California and Texas rebelled from Mexico and grew to develop into independant international locations then joined the U.S. some thing of them were received in a conflict antagonistic to Mexico in which the U. S. forgave all Mexican debt and paid $15 million for them. then you quite have the gadsden purchase. So why might want to might want to provide mexico some thing? They not in any respect had a suitable to it in the first position.... *edit* oh and btw that's no longer a shown actuality that american forces invaded mexico, Mexican forces invaded Texas and the U. S. intervened to assist their acquaintances...

the last 3 days driving to work... I heard on the news where an ILLEGAL MEXICAN shot a Houston police officer in the head 3 times, another ILLEGAL MEXICAN raped a girl in Southern California and there was a 3rd story I can't recall... but I am thinking... Why do so many politicians want to give these criminals citizenship?

California has the 3 strike law... how many strikes do illegals get?
1) they are here illegally --- strike 1
2) they are working here illegally --- strike 2
3) they are using false id's --- strike 3

And we want to reward them with citizenship?

Lock them up and throw the damn key away already

Yes. The U.S.A. allows all people to immigrate in a lawful manor. That's what sets us apart from the nations that do not.

You are an IGNORANT. When USA illegally bought part of Mexico it stated that they were buying the land only and all Mexicans are to maintain their rights. and part of those rights is to conserve their culture, their language and their rights to have their family live, work, visit and live in their same place. if USA do not like it maybe we should GIVE THE LAND BACK and null/cancel the purchase.

Hey, if your gonna give it away, why not take it. Mexico isn't stupid. They are getting their people taken care of, educated, health care and we are footing the whole bill. Plus these people send most of their money back home to be spent in Mexico's economy, and Mexico didn't have to invest a dime in them. Who are the dummies here?
