I think that eating apples is not good before sleeping, In fact if you feel sleepy and you don't wanna sleep, eat an apple, It will make you feel fresh and active, Apple is stronger than tea and coffee in that.

Probably not a great idea. Better to leave fruits for times when you have just worked out. Your body can deal with the sugar better then.
