I should add that the kids are 13 and 16 and have more sophisticated tastes these days. Also, healthy and not too heavy are preferred. They enjoy things like Sushi and Indian Foods, but I don't know how to make those. I miss the old days of "Ants on a log" with a Juice Box.

Shrimp(ready to eat), cocktail sauce, avocado, romaine lettuce, in wheat bread sprinkled with flaxseed( omega 3 for brain, anti-inflammatory;optional, but good for health and tastless mostly)with a side of salad and dressing(sweet french).

Turkey(are known for low fat) sandwiches with flaxseed sprinkle.

Sushi if you know how to make.

Lighter: fruits such as berries on sorbet(fat free or low fat) or on soy icecream(tastes good try it; very low fat).

Well I workout a lot and I play basketball so I have to eat healthy as well as keep in good shape. When I want a quick snack I usually make a sandwhich. I put that phillydelphia cheese on one side of wheat bread and mayonase on the other. I cut up tomato's and celantro's, and put on some olive and dill pickels. sometimes I will add mustard or tobasco sause, or mix other things in, but that is a healthy and quick snack. I also usually have a cup of soy milk with it too.

slice apples, spread peanut butter on them and place raisins on top of the peanut butter, can do the same with celery instead of apples.

Give the kids a tray with a variety of fruits and vegetables and toppings and let them "invent" their own snack. then use that snack as a special treat or a pick me up after a bad day at school

Try celery with peanut butter on the stalks or cream cheese.
Cheese and crackers, peanut butter sandwiches, toasted cheese sandwich, any fresh fruit. Cereal bars. Hope these help.

Fruits and veggies. Apples with some peanut butter or carrots and celery with peanut butter or celery with spreadable cheese. Or crackers and cheese. Just look in your fridge there should be something.♥
