They are nice for ameteur shots. There are several things that definitley set them apart from professional work. Sky pictures always need to include some land to the composition. You should look up the "rule of thirds" for composing those shots. Your basic composition could use some skill, and some interest. You've taken everday items and taken everyday pictures. Show me something I have not seen before. The Black and white needs a serious contrast boost, a little tweeking in photoshop could have given it a tonal makover, but that won't make up for it's poor composition. The fabric shots are dreadfull boring. I would not even include those on the same page as the others. They show no merit in skill nor creativity. Keep practicing and take a few art classes to get a better eye for composition, it makes all the difference in art photography.

The sky shots are nice, I would use the textures in photoshop manipulation anytime, but your black and white needs some work. More contrast, better focus, things you can easily fix with time and practice. I like your sky shots the most.

Don't compare yourself to good or not; trying is what you do, so keep trying.

i would work on composition. the fabric idea is interesting, but its missing something. i love the idea of close up ordinary things though. you're getting the textures that contribute to an interesting photo, but it needs practice. not that my opinion is worth anything, its just an opinion. i've taken like 2 photo classes, so i have no idea.

The subject matter was boring to me, but the photography was good, not great yet. You honestly have a way to go and much to learn but if you have passion and drive you have every opportunity in front of you, and some basic skills to get you started.

My favorite was the fabrics, because they were the most unusual of the bunch. Sunsets, flowers, and cute animals are photographed to the extreme.

You are off to a good start. Look at what professionals do, and try to replicate the angles and lighting, etc.

Check out www.photosig.com. I use it all the time. It is a free account. You can submit photos and people review them and help you out on how to improve. It's a pretty large community of photographers who are willing to teach you and help you out.

You need to keep practicing, but you have raw talent and a good eye. There's something "artsy" about the pictures - keep working to develop that.

I think they are good. You need to keep working but if you keep at it and have a passion for it then you will be great.
