I like to use a blow torch to cook the top.

The blow torch is cool but I always get a house full of fun when I bake chocolate chip cookies.

Anything that you make tableside and get to ignite is a lot more fun; Bananas Foster ,Crepes Suzette the usual suspects
Hell even saganaki is more fun than Creme Brulee

My roommate and I throw theme night dinners, just for the two of us, and we always like doing French night best because we get to use the blowtorches! Plus, there's something satisfying about that first "crack" sound when you break the top on a brule.
