I DO by Paul Brandt. It's awesome. Here are the Lyrics to it:

I've seen the storm clouds in your past
But rest assured 'cause you are safe
At home at last
I rescued you, you rescued me
And we're right where we should be
When we're together

I know the questions in your mind
But go ahead and ask me one more time
You'll find the answer's still the same
It won't change from day to day
For worse or better

Chorus:
Will I promise to be your best friend
And am I here until the end
Can I be sure I have been waiting for you
And did I say my love is true
Baby I will, I am, I can, I have, I do

I know the time will disappear
But this love we're building on will always be here
No way that this is sinking sand
On this solid rock we'll stand forever

(Chorus)

Baby I will, I am, I can, I have
Oh, I will, I am, I can, I have
Baby I will, I am, I can, I have, I do

My husband and I both previously married used this and our minister thought it was awesome.

Another one that would be good is BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD by Rascal Flatts

Standard songs are usually romantic and classy--look for Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra songs--

But here are my suggestions/favorites:

Unforgettable (Nat King Cole)
Someone to Watch Over Me (has many versions)
Fields of Gold (Sting)
Fallen (Pretty Woman song by Lauren Wood)
James Taylor songs--How Sweet it is to be Loved by You

Have a great wedding!

My maid of honor sang forever's as far as I'll go. It was a beautiful song. YOu could really sing anything. I found a wedding song book at a music store. (I wasn't looking it was just there) and we bought it and it had a lot of great songs. It had the piano and guitar chords along with the music notes so she sang and then we bought a CD and she sang along (it was a Karoke CD)

pick something that is meaningful to you both.At last by Etta James.,is a beautiful song. listen to all the good suggestions you got and see which is a fit for you. usually during the ceremony the guests like to hear what is being said rather than music.

The Lord's Prayer. I had the woman playing the piano do her rendition of it and it gave me the chills. It was so lovely and so perfect. We had her sing it right before the nuptials. I wouldn't change my wedding song for anything.

It would depend on where in the ceremony, why you wanted a song sung, and what you wanted to convey. Can you give us more information?

It's also going to depend on the ability of the singer. A good fit for the voice goes a long way!

At our wedding we had the choir sing "You Raise Me Up" by Westlife, it was really moving and the words are really appropriate for the situation.
