In Jim Morrison's song "Backdoor Man" (good song get it) what does he mean by Backdoor man? My friend thought it was he went through backdoors and raped little girls and i thought it meant a form of sex? it's also in one of Led Zepplin's song Rob Plant says "i wanna be ur backdoor man" PLZ i want to know!!!

Actually neither. Usually a backdoor man is when a girl is sleeping with one guy publically and another secretly. The secret lover would be a "Backdoor man"

Backdoor man - is a man that comes in the back door of your house when your hubby goes out the front door.
This is a man that is viewed as supplying a wife what she cant get from her hubby. A lover a sexual toy for her use while hubby is at work.

I always thought it meant the man who came and went through the back door = an affair. A "back door man" is simply a blues term to describe an unknown lover that leaves out the back door before a woman's "front door" man gets home.

i'm from the era those songs were written in and i can tell you this ok. backdoor man can be taken either way....i mean it can be taken that they want to be the anal sex guy or that they want to be the secret guy going in and out the backdoor....consider who was saying this and what they were probly doing while writting it. my thought on it is ...it's the anal sex thing...it was the 60's....sex was the thing to write and sing about.
