OK - that was too much info, but yes, some pimples hurt. They are an inflammation of the skin, so the nerves react. Some nerves react more than others.
They say you aren't supposed to pop a pimple, because the squeezing dmages the skin and could cause scarring, but instead use a needle to puncture the cyst and wipe at it to get the infected material out.

Hi,
I am a dermatologist by profession and within a careeer of 10 years I have seen lots of acne problems. According to me Red and white pimples are the worst and painful. Acneprone skin is very sensitive, even if you touch it once the redness will increase with itching. According to me there is no magical way to heal your pimples over night as this is the puffed part of your skin due to the bacteria.
In simple words try to improve your diet and have lots of water that helps in healingg process. Un-necessary oily food should be avoided to get a healthy spotless skin.

I've suffered with acne for awhile now, however, I think treating acne takes time. I got rid of of acne by drinking lots of water and eating very healthy, which was the best remedy by far. Also, washing my face twice daily. ,However, using natural cleansers made my face feel, look healthier, and clearer. Though, having a workout plan also takes a big impact on your skin, ALSO, NEVER TOUCH OR PICK AT YOUR FACE. But, if you absolutely have to, get two q-tips and squeeze the puss out gently. Then, put an ice cube on it so the redness will go away. Also, changing your pillowcases every other night helps too. I hope I helped. :)

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Some hurt when you pop them because they are infected. If the skin is red around it, and the pus is light colored, you should probably put some witch hazel on it to draw it out rather than popping it. Pushing out blackheads is fine if they are willing to come out, but don't go gouging your face after them. And put some witch hazel on after that, to make sure the now empty pore does not get infected.
Don't eat any more greasy food than you can't avoid, and wash your face a lot, and remember that this too shall pass.

They can hurt, but they don't always. If they are large, they normally hurt. You shouldn't really pick at them or pop them, it is bad for your skin, but most people do. If it is ready to pop, then pop the thing and wash with soap afterwards to prevent infection. As tempting as it may sound, don't pick at them or they will leave scars.

Just make sure your hands are clean when you pop them. It actually makes them go away faster if you do it right. I think the deep ones can be really painful, but the little tiny ones don't hurt at all.

popping is bad!! It causes the oils and bacteria to get wedged deeper in to the pore. Try pressing is with a very warm wash cloth then applying a small amount of pressure (kind like you pop them) to it… if it doesn’t pop don’t make it… just keep applying the warm compress to it till it drains

No it doesn't hurt. Noone likes a cry baby, go and find someone to hold your hand if it makes you feel better.
If anything it's the ignorant people staring at you in the street that hurts the most.
