Pretty sure, I think white count goes higher with infections. (Not sure about leukemia as others have mentioned) So... if it's not an infection because blood count is low, antibiotics probably won't work. Is is maybe some type of virus? Any history of immune deficiency disorders? If your not already at a dermitologist, I would get an appt with one ASAP for the rash. Then see if it has the effect on the blood count as well. Hope she gets to feeling better.

any type of infection that is not responding to treatment will cause low white cell count, my son has leukeamia and when diagnosed his white cell count was low, but so was his hemaglobin count, im sure they would have picked that up at the dr's. Antibiotics increase the white cell count for the time they are being taken, their affects dissapear 48 hours after finishing the course. my advice would be to ask for another opinion at the dr's.

Low white cell count doesn't mean leukemia. You have high white cell count when your body is fighting an infection. Take her to another doctor and get a second opinion.
