Believers: Are ignorant because they believe in something that they can't see, hear or touch and get their brains washed.
Non-Believers; Are ignorant because they simply don't believe in any superior being.
What do you think?

A Rabbi once said a person with no faith will have more answers than questions, but a person with faith will always have more questions than answers.

As an unbeliever, and considering your options, I'd be tempted to say believers are ignorant.

But on second thoughts, I don't think you can put it in those terms. It's not that either of us is "ignorant". Believers need answers, and look for something to cling to, and they have religions for that. We have exactly the same questions, but we'd rather wait for other more rational answers. Neither is 'ignorant'. We're just different.

Interesting question.

You're entitled to believe whatever you'd like - that's your right as a human. To me personally, you may call that being God, Allah, Yaweh, Buddah, the Flying Spaghetti Monster - it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter to me if you choose to believe in nothing (how you live your life and treat others is what matters to me!)

However, you have members of both camps (believers & non-believers) who are excessively intolerant and refuse to listen to anything anyone else might have to say, and their close-mindness is just a crying shame.

The ones who refuse to listen (regardless of their beliefs) are the truly ignorant ones. And believe me, they exist on both sides of the fence.

Believing or not believing doesn't matter, ignorance is to not bother to find out the facts before making up your mind. (And telling others to believe or not just like you simply because you said so.)

Obviously those who do not believe in God are ignorant. True you can't see or touch God but if you have faith then you can feel Him all around you. Just like you can't deny the air that you breathe, teh same way you can't deny God's existence.

I don't see how "I'll believe it when I see it/experience it" is a bad way to live.
