i ot my hair streaked a year back.....ive got rid of them by getting hair cuts very often but now im tired ...tired of oiling and using expensive and harmful chemicals just to get a little shine ne other ways????

use a shampoo with a lot of silicone like pantene...it will build up on your hair...but it will make it shiny for a while

If you use a lot of mousse and gel make a paste with shampoo, water, and baking soda to get the gunk out. Also, rinsing with vinegar makes it soft and shiny, just have to rinse well with water after.

I use a chemical free hair glaze (Clairol makes one) to boost the color of my natural hair.
Then I also use a silicone based smoother/shiner by Terax -

brushing your hair will bring out the natural oils and your hair will shine. so get brushing
