I don't know what country you are from.
USA milk is safe to drink.
It is regulated.

BTW, you don't HAVE to pasteurize milk.
People who live on farms still milk the cows each day and put it on the table.

I say it is safe in USA. This is true if seal on the jar or package is not broken, and it is marked pasteurised.

Some one said "i've dranken mild right from the cows nipple, its safe".

Also it must be kept cool at certain temp., to avoid bacteria from forming, unless caw has decease that can be transmitted through its milk(TB) it is safe to drink the milk straight from the caw, but if it is consumed after more then few minutes it needs some kind of processing.

This person have to be on farm and knew that the caws milk is safe to drink. In most states within USA a farmer cannot sell the milk to any one. It has to go through processing plant for pasteurising before consumer get it.

PS
Pasteurisation, is a batch process.

Milk is boiled under vacuum at 139-140degrees F for some time (X? minutes or hours), then it is cool rapidly to 39 -40 F and held at this temp., for(X? minutes or hours). The packaging, bottling, shipping and storing temp are also must be below 39 deg., F.

Check the date of packing and check with the storekeeper if the milk has been delivered fresh. If yes it would be safe to consume. Also stick to well known and reputed brands.

Safe, but not healthy. Processed milk isn't good for anyone.
People should drink only raw milk.
