I've known this person my whole life (his dad and my dad were best friends) but both of the times he has asked me out have been at the most horrible moments. The first time was 1 month after my dad died and the second time was about 5 months after that (I still wasn't ready). We are very close and very good together (and I'm 17 and he's 20 if you are wondering).....so, what do you think?

If you are ready now to date him, tell him!! Since he knew your dad, I am sure he understood why you told him no the other times. But, he has asked twice, so I think it is your turn. Hey, its worth a try if you really like the guy.

I say you tell the truth! if he likes u he can wait. focus on urself. if you fell up to it, go ahead u can always back out!
