Help!!!!! Worried???

Question

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I just went to the bathroom like 30 min ago and wiped blood. It was like spotting blood. I called the doc. and she told me to drink something count my baby's movements for an hour and then call back. So I am doing that, but I am also freaking out. I havent had sex or anything to cause it and I was wondering what else it could be. My mother told me that was how it started when she went into labor. I had braxton hicks all night last night but nothing regular so I didnt worry about it and this morning I woke up feeling like I was on my period and my back was hurting really bad. Any suggestions...please. Anything to help me quit freaking out..I know I shouldnt stress but its hard not to...Im new to this and I was told when you bleed its a bad thing. So some advice would be great. Has anyone gone through this? Thanks for all your help!

Thanks everyone. I am still here waiting..the doc. said there was nothing they could do until labor happened because at this point the wouldnt stop it. So we will see I guess.

You may be going into labor. You usually have a pink discharge in the beginning of labor, then you will start bleeding. I had to wear a pad to the hospital with both of my children b/c of bleeding. Don't worry, at 35 weeks, your baby will be fine. But, definatly call your doc back and stay off your feet since you really aren't due yet.

Calm down! I went throw this too. Do exactly what the doctor said that was probably the muscus plug. Take a shower just in case that you do go into labor. Everything is going to be alright. I am only 17 and already have a 15month old child. So I thnk If I could go throw it you can to. Oh yeah a remember if your scared, imagine that tiny baby in you, it needs your help, your the mom now. It does sound like you may be in labor. Call your doctor back and tell them what you just told us, that you have a back ache and what you believed to be braxton hicks all night. Good luck!

Yah you are probably going to start labor. Do what the doctor says. That sounds right to count the movements. It could be anything really but you probably are going to start laboring. Good Luck

calm down and do what your doc has said.... First let me reassure you and ease your mind alitle bit, you are 35weeks pregnant almost time to have the baby ... there is something called bloody show and you usually lose it close to time before you go into labor... You could possibly lose it a few weeks before though, more then likely thats wat it is and there is no need to stress just keep up with your doctor and do as they recommend good luck and congrats

It sounds like labor is starting. When I went into labor with my son it started out with back pain.

i had three children at 35 weeks and it started with a little back ache and then my mucus plug leaked and went on to have 3 beautiful daughter weighing 6lb 3oz 5lb 12oz 6lb 2oz good luck if you haven't already Left

for now call your hus so he can be home if you need to get to the hospital
