Shepards Pie already has a meat and a starch so I would go with a salad..preferably a green salad mixed with asparagus and sliced beets with an Italian dressing. Then pour yourself a good slighlty sweet red wine.

I would just serve the shepard's pie alone, but if you really feel you need something else, I would serve fresh fruit salad.

You could serve some sort of fruit side dish - liked sliced peaches. I'm not a fan of this, but a lot of people are - put a washed lettuce leaf on a small plate - add 2 - 3 slices of pineapple rings or some sliced peaches or pears, add a tbsp of mayonaise & some grated cheddar cheese on top.

A nice salad and some nice Vienna bread and butter. I can't think of anything else as Shepard's pie is pretty full of lots of stuff.
Oh yes, don't forget the wine

rolls and salad. Do not need a side dish everything is already inside the pie.

You normally don't have a side dish with shepherds pie. It contains your meat, vegetables and potatoes all in one dish.
I add onions, peas and diced carrots into mine before putting the potato topping on it. Some people also like to add corn.

Green salad, as there are green beans in at least my recipe for Shepard's pie.

I am totally thinking green beans, cooked but firm, tossed in a little butter.
I love shepard's pie! Enjoy!

shepherds pie already has lots of carbs, red meat, and a veggie. hmm~the only thing midssing is something green; yes~a salad~without any spinach, i'm sorry to say~is the best way to go.
a glass of wine might be nice as well.

Well, when I make shepherd's pie (made with minced lamb) I sometimes make cauliflower cheese as a side dish. It goes well with the shepherd's pie. Yum Yum. Enjoy.
