Question that makes me shudder, two of the three answers so far did that as well. I continue to feel any fanatical creepy Xtian - and I'm well aware that all Christians do not fall under that category - that works toward a theocracy should be tried for treason. Take the answer from that MMMk person or whatever their handle is - this person actually believes this country started out as a theocracy to being with! Unbelievable - what in the world has happened to our education system? Some of these people have no idea, and don't care, what a democratic republic means. It's ironic considering that our form of government is what gives them the right to worship as they please in the first place. If it wasn't for our form of government they might have to read their Bibles in a closet with a flashlight.

I guess SOME fundamentalists might, especially the Mormons. Anyone who believes that one religion should be mandated for all people is not only un-American, but un-Christian as well.

Most people who believe the US is pushing for a Christian theocracy probably believes the moon landing was fake too. Nothing could be further from the truth. Look at the anti-religion laws that have been passed in the last several decades. If anything, USA is moving farther and farther from a theocracy than ever before.

Conspiracy nuts and "us -vs- them" mentalities are quite amusing to observe sometimes. They are perpetually paranoid, oppositional, attention seeking, and it sometimes makes you wonder what color the sky is on their planet.

Although not a preferred choice, the US is slowly heading in that direction. As Islam is governing in the Middle East, so too will Christendom rule America. Sad really given how extreme some Christians want to go.

I wouldn't mind living under a Christian theocracy, but it wouldn't be the United States if it was.

Only in the context of it being a post-2nd coming of Christ and Jesus was at the head of the government....other than that, no-way! there's too much room for corruption.
