A. Because he was human, and it's a part of the human condition.
B. He lived in an oppressed, politically occupied part of the world, not unlike Iraq.
C. Jesus death had only a little to do with the condition of the planet now. We have more responsibility ourselves for what we've created, and we have the privilege of fixing it the best we can, if we have the wisdom & courage to do so.

Jesus never died on the cross. Everything we have read about Jesus is a lie. If you do your research, you'll will find that there are other versions of the gospel that tell a different story.
