There's nothing wrong with you going out with a friend who happens to be male. It's not so much of what you do, it's what people will think. You can't control what others think so you might have to be upfront with letting everyone know you're "just friends".

In your eyes sure. Not so much, when it's with others. Weddings are about love and all that gooey crap, so people see couples wherever they look. It's even worse when the person getting married is younger than you.

Yes you can, but make it clear when you're introducing the friend, that that's all it is. We have friends who just get together as dancing partners, and when meeting people for the first time, who are interested in who they are and what their relationship is, they always say they are just good friends who share the same enjoyment of dancing. So be prepared to say that you are good friends who go out socially together, but that's it.

Depends, But weather your both guys or one of each sex I think there will be questions. Might be fun. You could have your story and the other person could make up a totally different story like how you met or where your from or what you do etc. Could really spread the rumors...

Well you know people are going to talk. I feel like this. Those people don't know what's going on in your lives, so I wouldn't worry about what they think and say. If you go around wondering what other people are saying about you, you will never be happy.

Tread lightly. Do what makes you feel comfortable though - if you're cool with shielding..errr...fielding questions from family and friends, I say "go for it."
