I mess with them right back. In fact, it is driving people here at work crazy that I've shut the door so I can concentrate on a project, and I can hear them supposing why I'm doing this today when my door is normally open and I preferr a little social interaction while I work. I've told them why, but it is hilarious some of the things they're saying which they think I can't hear! LOL! Do they realize how mental they sound? Too bad I can't tape record them and then play it back over a loudspeaker at WalMart while I know they're all shopping there that day or something! Dang, that would be funny!

(It should interest you to note that two of them in particular have been trying to mess with my head previously and I just give them a blank stare and then say something to turn it back to them. LOL!)

P.S. This isn't about winning. This is about watching them really work themselves into a tizzy. It's hilarious.

People will never mess with my head because I am pretty up front. I dont play games, and dont expect others to play mind games with me. If someone wants to try, go ahead, but I will just walk away and tell them to get a life. People can play all the mind games they want to....I just wont play. I have better things to do with my time. I like to be around like-minded people...I choose who I associate with....the ones I dont need to play mind games with. In a work situation, I guess, its different, you dont have a choice. I am the same but if someone at work wants to play mind games they will be playing alone. It honestly doesnt bother me...I dont have any tactics to "win" the mind games....I dont need to "win"....I am pretty secure within myself.

Working makes people mental. Nice idea to hit the loudspeaker at WalMart.

I was in the military. I was stationed in Japan.

There was a bunch of girls/women had nothing to do but get into someone elses business.

I did not come to work and tell my life story. Who I dated, Who I slept with......

I got a good friend (still to this day) and she was like me did not talk about your personal life. Well one day one of these girls thought we were gay.

So for a month. When I came into work I sort of acted like we were. It was funny !! but then i thought we should not do this anymore, the Navy might think we are gay. Back in 1983 there was not this dont ask dont tell thing.

We got the girls it drove them crazy. After that they stayed out of my business.

Let them keep the negative energy. People who are unhappy try to bring others down to their level. When people are just plain mean, they are unhappy, and filled with negative energy. They try to spread this negative energy around to (what they suppose) take the negative energy off of them. Just know that they are unhappy, or trying to show off or impress (which is really stupid and some people never let go of these habits, and are never at peace because of this constant trying to impress). So next time just agree with them, like it don't bother you, and even laugh a little. Don't give them the satisfaction of answering back the negative. And just look at them and analyze, and realize they are just unhappy trying to bring you down, or trying to impress which means they feel inferior to everyone around. And realize that your burnin them up by not responding. They'll start feeling stupid and just give up.

Try a little reverse psychology. Instead of responding with what they would expect, do the exact opposite. It works! My son did a little stunt this weekend intentionally wanting to make me "feel bad" What he didn't know was that I knew the truth and instead, acted like I didn't feel bad and was sorry for his luck! Better luck next time. He is now currently kissing my butt. I won. Give it a try
