Yes my husband and one of our good friends both have been in the Marine for 7 years and both only recently became citizens (about 2 years ago). there is now a clause that allows a person to be a citizen if they join..this is new some people who died in Iraq were not citizens and after their deaths the government decided hummm maybe it'd be a good idea,

Yes they can. They do NOT need to be a citizen, nor do they need to be a resident. When I was in the Navy, we had a lot of Filipinos on board that never set foot in the U.S. until they went to boot camp. They couldn't hold a security clearance about Classified (which everyone gets), so most worked in the Supply Department.

You do not have to be a resident nor a citizen of the united states. The only clause once you enlist and are accepted is that within three years you must be naturalized a US citizen.

Yes it is possible.Recently they had a thing on TV where foregin people took the oath to join the military

Yes, you can always join the military. You may not be able to vote, or drink, or be a citizen cause your skin color is wrong, or wear a Bush sucks t-shirt to a republiQaedan rally, but sure you can die for our country.

Happens all the time. They usually are granted citizenship soon after boot camp or before deployment.

YES -- you can and this was an option that many immigrants and potential immigrants to the US took in WWI, WWII, and subsequent conflicts -- and conflicts even before these listed.

If you hve a green card. but you're going to be restricted to jobs that do not require a security clearence.

It is your luck if you are allowed( Except some county's) all are allowed and even given citizenship.
