A Mustang is the most bang for your buck

Depends on your price range, but I would stick with a Honda or Toyota if you're looking for reliability.

I own a GM product that I purchased used (I hate the car so much I'm not even going to specify which POS GM line it is from) and it has been an absolute nightmare. Parts of the car don't work and even though it is under warranty, the only response I can get is "yes, there is a problem but there is no fix for it". I got that from the dealership and the customer service department. They refuse to allow me to take this to the next level at GM's corporate office.

I have also owned Fords that have not been reliable, either.

Depends on your price range. Typically if your buying an older car stick with either Honda or Toyota. They are the most reliable and have some of the lowest maintinence costs.

If you want to buy a normal one, go for carmy.
It is designed for long mileage, low price for parts when broken 'cause popularity.
If you want to buy an economical gas car, go for corolla or civic.
both of them offer around 38 mpg, but really inconvinent for putting some stuff when shopping or going somewhere, and damage is really big for your injury and car. I dont recommend small cars.
I recommend carmy over '01. that's normal and for used cars.
By the way, don't ever try to buy Hybrid cars. that's really bullshit!!! really sucks for gas mileage if you caculate between the amound of gas you are gonna use and the money you gonna
pay for the car. EVER even see Hybrid!!!!! unless you consder the world environment

honda has more high end turq. you need to push the car pass 3k rpm to have some fun. toyota? depends on what model you are getting. i never liked their cars. even though i have a lexus gs. i never really liked the car's handling. tooooo soft. i love my integra much better. so if you want some cheap nice feeling sports car go for honda, rsx, integra, if you want something nice and soft. go for accord, camry. or lexus if it's within your budget.

I have owned a lot of American cars and I have to recommend a "foreign" one. Get a used Camry and then all you'll have to do is change the oil and put gas in it. Seriously!

Last I heard, the Lexus was the most reliable brand, but they're not cheap. Perhaps you can get a used one at a good price.

Japanese cars are more reliable in maintance and in gas. Think about why ford and gmc are loosing their money and they cant compete with all these japanese cars.
