In women its as soon as kids enter the picture... Something about having to work, take care of kids and spouse and house for 18 hours a day saps any desire right out of em....
Guys just have to change a couple of diapers to see a similar short term decline...

Men and Women sex drives decline at different times.
Men hit their sexual peak between 22 & 30, with their sexual drive declining after about 30 years old. Women hit their sexual peak at about 20-22, with it declining at 23, and then they hit another sexual peak at about 37-42 years old. And after that they take a sharp decline in sexual drive. This was one of the reasons medicines like Viagra were made. Because women hit their sexual peak at a time in their life where their husbands have had a lost in sexual drive.
Men will generally always like doing it, because we are males, and all male animals need to reproduce or eh hem... ejaculate. But these biological factors are only general, since everyone's body makeup is different.

well i guess it just depends on the couple...
sadly i have to witness the craziness at all my family events... my aunt and her husband are 55 and 58 and they are all over each other all the time and constantly "taking personal time"
ughhh its the same thing with my dad and his wife... 49 and 46 all over each other flirting and playing around...
Soooo I think it ultimately depends on the level of attraction still left in the relationship, but I guess I would say 55 is a good average, to possibly start the decline of sex drive i guess having menopause and everything... these days 40-50 isnt getting older its hitting your prime...

I am 33. My boyfriend is 42. While my drive may be a little higher than his. It is not by much. We enjoy a very active and healthy sexual relationship.

I believe those who loose their sex drive early are either ill ( diabetes etc.) or have never had phenomenal sex.
