LDS do you really believe these ERRORS. the bible does NOT teach these things

GOD THE FATHER: Joseph Smith explained, "I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see. He was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ Himself did" (LDS History of the Church, Vol. 6, p. 305).

Jesus, according to Milton Hunter of the LDS First Council of the Seventy, is the brother of Lucifer. "The appointment of Jesus to be the Savior of the world was contested by one of the other sons of God. He was called Lucifer, son of the morning. Haughty, ambitious, and covetous of power and glory, this spirit-brother of Jesus desperately tried to become the Savior of mankind" (The Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15).

It seems that some LDS answers here believe Jesus and Satan are brothers. QUESTION. WHY does the bible cleary teach Jesus is GOD the CREATOR.

Jn 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
Tit 2:13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

So HOW can Jesus BE GOD and satan's brother. it seems to me that the LDS are NOT christians

Well, I'm not LDS and I don't believe it because it is contrary to what the Bible says on divinity.

First of all, that claim of authority for the Bible is based on the politics of the ecumenical councils, not on God coming down from on high and handing anyone a Bible. MEN sat down centuries after the fact and tried to decide what was and wasn't inspired without recourse to God or the authors for testimony. So, to the issue of LDs beliefs not being in the Bible: so what? Neither is particle physics or the formula for Orange Julius.

The LDS claims a special revelation for Joseph Smith, which however ridiculous it may seem to you because you were raised in another tradition, has the same validity as the Bible you accept since both are based on mere assertion. God has not come down to bear witness to having told the councils what writings to canonize, nor has the Angel Moroni appeared on Oprah to affirm the Bork of Mormon.

Is it really harder to accept that God is an ascended man than it is that Jesus was a descended god? Both seem nonsensical to the rational mind.

That is why the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has another testament to the Bible; The Book of Mormon, to clarify the Bible.
Yes, I do believe that Lucifer, or Satan, is the brother of Jesus, just as we are. So Satan could technically be considered our brother, albeit the black-sheep of the family. Lucifer offered to come to earth as the Savior of all mankind, but he wanted to do it on his terms and all the glory would be to him. Jesus offered to do the same, but with the glory going to our Father in Heaven. The Lord chose Jesus to become the Savior of all mankind, and Satan was tossed out on his rear. Satan still seeks to draw all those to him he can.
And if mankind is created in God's image, does it not follow that God had a physical body to emulate?
Non-members always attempt to pick apart the LDS church by grasping at obscure references and taking them out of context. You might find more enlightening information at the website listed.

I not only believe it, I KNOW it is true.

Does it not make sense that since we are created in the image of our Heavenly Father, that he was once also a man??? He wants us to have everything He has because He loves us. Do you not want the best of everything for your children??

We also believe there were two "plans" presented to the Father of how our earthly time here would be. One was Christ's and one was Lucifer's. One-third of the hosts of heaven (of our other brother's and sisters) followed Lucifer who became Satan and were cast out of the Father's presence and one of the punishments for rebellion was that they would never have a body.

Celestial Kingdom or nothing!

***************************By the way - we believe Jesus created everything, under the direction of our Heavenly Father. Christ is the Lord of this world and our Heavenly Father is Almighty God of our spirits, He created our spirits and Christ created our bodies and everything on the earth...

Yes, we do believe what you stated, but not in error as you may think.
Your judgement on our belief is base on your interpretation of your bible, our belief is base on Bible, Book of Mormon and latter day prophets.

Didn't Jesus Christ himself said his father is our father also"
17 ...... I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
(New Testament | John 20:17)

if so, is it too hard to understand that we can be like God, just like a child grow up like unto their parents, or like wise, God is a man before he progress to be a God.
And since we all are children of God, what is wrong with understanding that Lucifer was once among us in the pre mortal world, before he was cast out for rebellion?

YOUR bible might not teach those things. But perhaps someone else's bible does. How do you know your bible is right and his is wrong?

Hint: "Because my Bible says my Bible is always right" is not a valid answer.
