The Bible is NOT the most "SOLD" book. It is often given away for free. Just open a nightstand drawer the next time you are in a hotel. It IS, however, the most widely distributed book on earth. I believe it is available, in whole, or in part to over 90% of the earth's population.
That said, if you really need to know the most SOLD book, you might want to call your local library. They might be able to answer your question or at least point you in the right direction.

The only work of mythological propaganda that came close to the lifetime sales of the mythological fictitious bible was The Malleus Maleficarum (The Witch Hammer), first published in 1486. It came in a close second to the bible during the Inquisition.
