It's a good thing that you moved out. Things could have gotten worse. You don't say how she got ahold of your journal. Was she snooping in your stuff?
Clothes and shoes can be replaced. Family members cannot be. Hide your journal from everyone and don't tell anyone you have one. And just buy news clothes. It will be hard to keep quiet about what she did. She was totally wrong to throw your things away. I would stay away from her as much as possible and not call her. And don't go back if she calls and begs for your help. You tried and she messed it up.

If you could, try and recover some of your clothes that your family member has thrown out. If you can't recover all of them, take her to a small claims court but make sure you keep your receipts as evidence. Talk to your cousin as well. You did her a favor by baby-sitting for her child and the least she could do was to respect your privacy. You did the right thing by moving out because she made it very clear that there's no such thing as privacy in her house. Blood is thicker than water and you only live once so I hope that there will be forgiveness in your heart and your cousin should learn a lesson on how to not invade privacy. Good luck.

Move out, and take her to small claims court. Keep the receipts for everything you have to replace, since you will need them in court.

tell her to respect your privacy
it's a simple massage that sets everything straight
if she doesn't listen to you, then just do the same
but be the bigger " man"
which is the adult thing to do
