Egg yolks are the part of the egg that has all the fats, but those are healthy fats. The yolk is loaded with nutrients that are good for you ( if the egg is fertilized, then the yolk is what the chick lives off until it hatches) If you are trying to watch calories then only eat the yolk some of the time. Other than that egg yolks are good to eat.

Im sure everyone here has a good ans for you: The EGG is one of the best items u can eat: Eggs are basically 3-6 grams of protien if that. Very small amount. Egg whites are zero fat. People that eat the whole egg ( it's not going to effect you ) the avr person can eat this, but if your talking about athletes then thats a diff story. Good luck.

Yolks are all cholesterol and the white is all protein. Athletes, body builders, people watching their weight typically throw out the cholesterol and just eat the protein. Bodybuilders will carb, protein and creotine up before a competition. If you don't have a cholesterol problem you shouldn't worry too much about the yolk and depending on what diet you follow.

The yolk contains all of the fat and most of the calories. The egg whites contain protein.

One egg yolk has enough chosesterol to supply your daily requirement for it. There is no fat in the egg white. It's almost pure protein. Your liver actually manufactures all the cholesterol you need, so why even eat egg yolks - except for the flavor. Their nutrient value is negligable.

People often omit egg yolks from their diet because of calories. Unfortunately, yolks are also loaded with nutrients that are wasted because of such diets.

Egg yokes are high in fat. That is where the baby chicken comes from. The whites are high in protein.
